Is it appropriate to wear a cream and black (primarily cream) color dress to to a wedding?

The ceremony starts at 4:00PM and the reception at 5:00PMIs it appropriate to wear a cream and black (primarily cream) color dress to to a wedding?
Why not? just never wear white! Is it appropriate to wear a cream and black (primarily cream) color dress to to a wedding?
I went to a wedding last night and wore a black top with a white skirt. There were other people who also showed up in the same colors as me. You will be fine in cream and black. Unless it states otherwise on the invitation, you're free to wear whatever color you'd like.
if it looks cute wear it but if it looks better then the brides dress then no
yes....
The only color you really aren't supposed to wear is white. However, IMO, if the bride is wearing cream or the bridesmaid's might be in cream, I'd choose another color to wear.

Good luck! :)
Yes as long as not too much cleavage and not too shprt,

exspecially if its in a chruch
ya i think its fine just as long as you dont look better then the bride!
there was actually something on MSN about that today. White, or shades of white, including cream, should never be worn to a wedding, because you dont want to outshine the bride. If its the only nice dress you have, and it wont make you outshine the bride, then it should be ok, but if you have other options, i would go for that... If it was primarily black with cream accents it would be acceptable.
Yes, as long as it isn't floor length. Save the formal for after 6 - but cream and black is fine.
Sure, sounds great!
cream would be ok just not white!! cream and black look really nice and classy together i think. have fun and catch the flowers if ur not married yet!!
It depends who is wearing what? For the groom black/grey and formals, for the bride then she can wear cream, although this may suggest that she is not a first time bride (perhaps married once before???).
