What colour shoes with a black semiformal dress - it has a small section of laced cream material near neckline?

I have black shoes but am wondering whether this would be too much black. Am also considering going for another colour - perhaps a deep purple or a ruby red. Does anyone have any ideas for what accessories would best suit some of these styles?


The dress is knee-length, simple, tight at the waist but then goes straight down, a V-neck.

if you're wearing a black dress then you could make it look very elegant by wearng gold jewellery and then accentuate that by wearing gold shoes...black and gold look great together...





Another thing you could do is to match it up with silver chunky jewellery and then black and silver shoes...





If you wear another colour e.g. purple then black shoes will look fine..and same goes for the red...red shoes on a red dress will look too predictable!

wear black shoes, but with a peep-toe or strappy so it's not a solid block of black





try and find a black clutch (preferably different texture) with gold detailing to glam up your outfit and to match your lace detailing and a nice cocktail ring :)





depending on how you do your hair and the overall look you're trying to achieve, a gold necklace or several delicate gold necklaces layered for a glam look or some delicate strands of pearls for a more refined look
Okay you could wear dark purple high heels. Then some black or dark purple earrings. The bracelets would be really simple like some bangles.The colors would be white. Then for a necklace you could a really long one that is gold or purple. Then that would be an awesome outfit!Hope I helped!
please wear black. as long as theres some texture to the material, they should be fine.
Red Shoes. White you will look like a zebra. Yellow you will look like a bee. So don't choose yellow or white . Well its my opinion so do what you feel best with! =)
ruby red would look good and it would bring in a little color
