Make-up with a black and cream dress?

What sort of make-up should be worn with a plain black dress that has a cream silk belt/sash? The girl in question has pale skin with slightly rosy cheeks, medium brown hair, and hazel eyes. The occasion is a cocktail party amongst friends, the guests are all about sixteen/seventeenMake-up with a black and cream dress?
--use a powder foundation or a cream to powder foundation that is one shade slightly darker that your skin probably ivory or the color shade above it. Make sure it will blend in with your neck!

--pink-tone blush, --violet or dark brown eyeliner,

-- white eye shadow up to brow line, light pink shade on lids and gray or brown shadow on corners and crease of the eyes. --- any lipstick other than a bright pink, red or orange tone would work. I would probably use a glossy pink or lavander/berry colored lipstick. Use powder with brush to go over face when the look is complete and use an eye shadow brush to go over the eye lids after applying the shades. This will make it blemd together.

Remember, you are wearing black and that lends to just about any color palet. So choose a look and go for it. If you would rather be more intense then you may want to choose a different color eyeshadow for the lids and a deeper lipstick like red. It is up to you. My initial suggestion is just what I would wear. I would recommend practicing with different applications before the big event to see what looks best on you. Plus you can get a free makeover at beauty stores to see what color tones enhance your skin and bring out your natural beauty. Have fun!! :)Make-up with a black and cream dress?
a little blush, pink eyeshadow to bring out your eyes, and some light pink shimmery gloss, not to much though. you'll look great!!! a little bit of mascara won't hurt, you don't need to though.
lite make-up
make up should complement the person wearing it and not the outfit
Neutrels with a brighter lipstick
Lavender eyeshadow will make your eyes stand out more. Also, I like wearing a very dark brown eyeliner around my eyes with the outside corners pointy - I get lots of compliments. Curl your lashes and apply black mascara.

If you're wearing lipstick, don't make it stand out as much as your eyes. Wear a cute lip gloss or something - slightly red.

A little pink blush sounds like it'd be cute on you, too.

Perfect.

P.S. Make sure your hair doesn't cover your face, so everyone can see how beautiful you are.
wear frosted red lipstick and pearl eyeshadow. not too much of either or you'll look goth. use a black eyeliner( again, not much) and your normal brush and your set!
I would go with something very soft and natural. And if the guests are 16 and 17, it is not a cocktail party
I have green eyes and with a black dress I love the pink eyeshadow but I would add a hint of green or purple/violet on the corners using the half moon method. Closing your eye and touching the middle of where your eye socket is I would start there with the green or purple and bring in down to my lashes in a C or %26lt; shape. Then blend well so it doesn't show any lines. Just a little to bring out the color of your eyes and then light color lip gloss and definitely a little mascara especially if you have long eyelashes.
natural colors
Go for the Audrey Hepburn look. Beige eye shadow, arched brows, black eyeliner (top only) ending in an upward style, soft blush, red lips.
I have a suggestion....ALMAY makes eyeshadow liner and mascara that coordinates with each specific eye color...now looking at the colors they choose mite look a little different but trust me i have green eyes and my sister has blue ... both of us have been complimented on our eyes quite a few times since wearing this...it's nice because the colors the choose enhance your eyes not your clothes so they seem to work with any colors we wear...and they are not very expensive and that's nice too...lol! Have fun!!
go for the 'natural' look. foundation and a little blush and lip gloss, even a lip gloss with a a tint in it. No lipstick jus gloss with a tint. for the eyes use little eye shadow and colours that accent ur colour
Brush iridescent cream all over the eyelid (highlighting the brow bone), then charcoal liner subtly at the corners, with a pearl/grey shadow brushed right above the lashes. Berry gloss with a deeper liner, and a coordinating blush just over the cheekbones to highlight your own rosy skin.
