What is the difference between a chocolate eclair and a boston cream pie/and a chocolate eclair vs a Long John

A chocolate eclair is a choux pastry, usually formed in a rectangle shape, with pastry cream/custard filling and chocolate icing or glaze on top.

Boston cream pie isn't a pie at all, but a cake - two layers, with pastry cream between the layers and chocolate ganache drizzled over the top.

A long john is made from raised yeast dough, shaped in a rectangle and fried like a doughnut, with icing on top.

A chocolate eclair is a tubular shaped piece of choux pastry, filled with cream and chocolate on top. A boston cream pie is a layer cake with a cream filling and chocolate frosting. I am afraid I have absolutely no idea what a long jojn is except a pair of long underwear, and I am sure that is not what you meant.
