Whats the difference between an eclair and boston cream doughnut?

Both are yummy but the difference is an eclair is a longer donut, it has a split down the side like a hot dog bun and has cream filling, more of a whipped filling, then there is the yummy chocolate on top. A boston cream donut is a round donut with the boston cream filling inside and chocolate on top. They are similar in tastes but different sizes/shapes and the eclair cream is normally more of a whipped cream taste. Now I want a donut lol.Whats the difference between an eclair and boston cream doughnut?
It's best to avoid fried foods, so I'll take the eclair.Whats the difference between an eclair and boston cream doughnut?
eclairs are longer shaped like a roll, the donut is round, other than that the taste the same
an eclair is made with an choux pastry dough and are baked; donuts are made with with a different type of dough and are fried. Both are filled with pastry cream though.
Eclairs are long -john type versions of the cream puff with custard inside and chocolate on top---the dough flaky and crispy whereas a boston cream doughnut is just a fried donut with heavier cake-like batter, custard filling and chocolate frosting.

Now does it really matter? Yum. That's all you have to know on this subject. It's ALL good.
one is longt and thin, the other one is round. the eclair is also a more higherclass dessert than a donut.

donuts are for fat cops.
The difference is the pastry one is puff pastry and the other is dough that contain yeast , the cream is the same only to make it more fancy in the eclairs they call it ,Chantilly cream.

You made me hungry !
Besides the fact that an eclair is long and a doughnut is round, the dough is different.
